2007 RECIPIENTS
The AACA scholarship memorializes Forrest Jones, who made a significant contribution to aviation in the State of Alaska during his forty years supporting aircraft. Forrest was a dedicated aviation maintenance professional and role model who combined innovative thinking and a common-sense approach to everyday problems. His maintenance philosophy of “fixing it right, by the book” was combined with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.

STEPHANIE EGGART
Graduated from Nome-Beltz High School with a 3.05 GPA. She is currently attending the University of Alaska, Anchorage seeking her associate’s degree in applied science/professional piloting.
LINDSEY LARAUX
Currently attending North Aire, Inc. in Prescott, AZ. Her interests are flying, studying flight information, spending time with her family, working out, and outdoor activities.
LAURA MELINDA MADSEN
Graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School with a 3.66 GPA. Will be attending Precision Aviation helicopters training facility in January 2007. She is interested in obtaining her helicopter add-on rating, instrument rating, commercial rating, CFI and CFII ratings and plans on working with Coastal Helicopters when she is not going to school to obtain more experience as a helicopter pilot.
JOEL MATTHEW STURE
Graduated from West Anchorage High School with a 3.51 GPA. Is currently attending the University of Alaska, Anchorage in the Aviation Technology Division with an emphasis on Professional Piloting. His interests are aviation, hockey, soccer, fishing on the Kenai River, camping and fundraising for leukemia.
