Our mission is to support and advocate for the commercial aviation community. AACA fosters aviation safety in Alaska and promotes the uniform treatment of aviation businesses. We promote the welfare of our members by advocacy, cooperation and education and provides a forum for members to express their views while providing accurate information. AACA can help your aviation business stay on top of the latest regulations and maintain a powerful industry presence.
Our office works daily to advocate for passage of wise federal and state regulations that affect our membership, and challenge those regulations that stifle healthy business or threaten safe operations. We provide a safe conduit between government and our membership.

Our History
The Alaska Air Carriers Association (AACA) was founded in 1966 to help operators in Southeast Alaska have an organized “voice” in aviation regarding state legislation and worker’s compensation insurance premiums for high risk businesses.
We exist to:
- Foster and promote aviation safety in Alaska
- Promote uniform treatment of aviation businesses
- Promote the welfare of its members by association, cooperation and education
- Express the views of its members and provide accurate and reliable information on transportation matters
- Provide educational support and assistance
- Encourage and stimulate a fair and intelligent attitude on the part of the public
- Encourage the passage of wise and just laws
- To settle and adjust differences among its members, and to cultivate a high standard of business integrity, equity and justice with respect to the public
